What we keep, and for how long.
We are a six-unit glamping site in Argyll, not an advertising business. This is the whole of it.
What we collect
When you enquire or book we hold your name, the address you give us, an email address, a phone number, the nights you asked for and any access needs or dietary notes you chose to tell us. If you pay a deposit, our payment processor holds the card details — we never see them and never store them.
Why we hold it
To answer you, to hold your nights, to know how many people are walking up the hill on a given evening, and to meet the record-keeping the law asks of an accommodation provider. Nothing else.
How long
Enquiries that never became bookings: twelve months. Bookings: six years from the end of the tax year, because HMRC says so. The logbooks in the units are paper and stay in the units; if you write in one and would rather we did not quote it on this website, say so and we will not.
Who else sees it
Our booking and payment processors, our accountant, and nobody else. We do not sell anything to anyone and we do not run advertising trackers on this site.
Your say
Ask us for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete anything we are not legally required to keep. Write to stay@cairnlarchfield.co.uk and we will do it within a month, usually within a week.
